The Prestigious University Town Rich With History And Culture

In addition to prestigious Princeton University, (the fourth oldest university in the United States), Princeton is home to New Jersey's Governor and many large American companies. Nassau Street, a primary thouroughfare through the city, is usually bustling with activity as students and residents enjoy the affluent suburban setting.

The Governor's Mansion commonly known as Drumthwacket, is a stately home sited on the land that witnessed the 1777 Princeton battle for American independence and is currently listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Mercer Street is home to rows of charming colonial houses, including the house where Einstein resided while he researched at Princeton's campus.

McCarter Theatre is a Tony Award winning theatre featuring music, dance and special event programs. A good selection of shops, services, and restaurants are housed in Princeton Market Fair, a popular shopping center. Another theatre is located here, for your entertainment pleasure.

There are also many other historic sights to visit here, including Thomas Clarke House and Princeton Battlefield State Park.
